Consultation

A consultation appointment always follows the initial examination. There is no additional charge for this appointment, and you and Dr. Ramirez will be in a private setting. This appointment gives the doctor the opportunity to explain all the information and data gathered in your first appointment. After going over problems, causes, prevention and needed actions and options you will have a clear understanding of your dental health so you can then choose the manner in which you want to proceed with your treatment. All treatment is individualized and planned accordingly. If needed, treatment can be completed in phases to accommodate your needs.

We offer preventative care for your family. Optimal oral health helps our patients keep their smiles brighter and healthier. Maintaining this level of dental health may also stave off chronic diseases. Research shows a link between gum disease and many serious health conditions. Preventative appointments identify dental problems, which if left unchecked, may become more severe and more costly to treat. These treatments include:

  •  Comprehensive Examinations and X-Rays
  •  Oral Cancer Screenings
  •  Fluoride Treatment
  •  Hygiene/Cleanings

Periodontics (Gum Disease Treatments)

Periodontal means “the tissue around the teeth”. Dental plaque and your body’s response to its harmful effects are the main causes of the disease in the gum tissue, and is the leading cause of adult tooth loss.

Regrettably, periodontal-related problems are often discovered after they have persisted for an extended period of time. Gum disease ranges from mild gingivitis to moderate and severe periodontitis. Treatments are available to regain your health in every instance. However, regular dental visits and ongoing home care like flossing are needed to prevent tooth and bone loss Extensive bone loss which occurs in advanced stages of gum disease may require more involved treatment such as oral surgery or bone regeneration.

Common Gum Disease linked problems:

  •  "Long Teeth"
  •  Discolored or Deteriorating Tooth Structure
  •  Gum Depressions (spaces between your teeth)
  •  Inflammation at the Gum Line
  •  Tooth Loss or Tooth Movement
  •  Bad Breath

Periodontal disease has been linked to coronary artery disease, diabetes and respiratory diseases.
If a tooth is lost due to periodontal disease, a dental implant or bridge can replace to improve appearance and lost function.
